Hibest Assefa

Hibest Assefa is an accomplished public health professional with extensive experience in health program management and research. Currently serving as Principal Technical Advisor and Sr MER Advisor II at Jhpiego since July 2013, Hibest combines technical expertise with a focus on International Public Health. Previous roles include Sr Research Manager at Johns Hopkins University from September 2010 to July 2013 and Project Director for SHAZ at UCSF between 2006 and 2008. Hibest holds a Master of Public Health degree with a focus on International Public Health/International Health from The George Washington University, completed in 2004, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Howard University, earned in 1992.
