Inpatient Palliative Care Program Director at Providence St. Mary Medical Center

Lisa Schuman, ARNP has extensive experience in palliative care and hospice programs. Lisa has worked as the Inpatient Palliative Care Program Director at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, where they designed and implemented a program for a 140 bed hospital. Lisa also hired and trained interdisciplinary team members and created a Palliative Care 'incubator' for staff training. Prior to this role, they served as a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner at Harrison Medical Center, providing consistent, full-time care for the Palliative Care and Inpatient Hospice Program. Lisa's experience also includes working as a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner at Group Health Cooperative, where they managed acute and chronic complexities of medical issues for skilled, custodial, and hospice patients. Lisa demonstrated strong diagnostic and therapeutic judgment in diagnosing and managing various health conditions.

Lisa Schuman, ARNP holds a Master's degree in Nursing Practice, which they earned from Seattle University between 2008 and 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts, Humanities, and Comparative Literature at Scripps College from 1977 to 1982.
