Dr. Saahil Ognawala

Dr. Saahil Ognawala has worked in a variety of roles in the technology and data science sector. From 2022 to present, they have been a Senior Product Manager at Jina AI. From 2019 to 2022, they were a Data Scientist at Munich Re (Group), where they lead the development of an AI-based entity reconciliation product and created joint proposals for enabling the company's new data strategy. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Project Intern at Imperial College London. From 2011 to 2018, they were a System Software Engineer at Hewlett-Packard, where they integrated WS-Security with SOAP messages. From 2011 to 2012, they were a College Intern at RSA The Security Division of EMC. From 2010 to 2011, they were an Intern at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. From 2009 to 2010, they were an Intern at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg. From 2012 to 2018, they were a Research Associate and Ph.D student at Technical University Munich, where they worked on hybrid techniques to automate test case generation and vulnerability detection, as well as smart identification of low-level memory vulnerabilities. Dr. Saahil was also a Scientific Assistant at Technical University Munich, where they worked on empirical evaluation of advanced regularization techniques in Recurrent Neural Networks, TACMAN, natural language processing based data analysis, and artefact based requirements engineering.

Dr. Saahil Ognawala has a well-rounded educational background. Dr. Saahil obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from the Manipal Institute of Technology in 2011. Dr. Saahil then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Informatics from the Technical University of Munich in 2014. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich in 2019. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from Coursera in 2020 for Continuous Delivery and DevOps, Introduction to Tensorflow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, and in 2013 for Big Data in Education and Natural Language Processing.
