As Vice President of Content Marketing, Smita spearheads the overall content strategy for Jivox. She works closely with the product marketing, performance marketing, and social media functions of the team to streamline the planning and execution of content pieces to grow the Jivox brand. Smita joined Jivox in 2017 and since then has earned a gamut of experience across different verticals of the company including global client strategy, pricing, and marketing. She was one of the earliest members of the marketing team and has played an integral role in establishing key programs including email and lead generation, social media, and product marketing.
Prior to Jivox, Smita was with Marriott International, the world’s largest hospitality company where she worked in marketing communications across three different brands over a span of four years. One of her most memorable assignments at the company was as the pre-opening marketing manager responsible for the launch and positioning of the first JW Marriott resort in India located in the heart of the majestic Himalayas.
Smita holds an MBA from the Indian School of Business (ISB), the country’s premier B-school that is also ranked among the top 25 worldwide by the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2021. When not busy with work, she enjoys reading all kinds of genres, writing poetry, gardening and baking.
