JLA Groupe
Jean-Luc Azoulay founded AB Productions with Claude Berda. AB Productions began as a successful music production company, before becoming the first TV production company in France with daytime and access primetime family programming, producing approximately 1,200 hours of programming for TF1 each year in the late 80's and the 90's. Jean-Luc Azoulay was the producer of these programs and writer for the majority. In 1997, AB Groupe launched AB Sat, a satellite multi-channel television station and in 1999, the group divided into broadcasting and production activities. Jean-Luc Azoulay took over the production branch which became JLA Productions, focused on primetime serials and TV films ("Navarro", "L'Instit", "Quai n°1", "Sos 18", "Le Tuteur", "Camping Paradis") and prestigious dramas (such as "Les Liaisons Dangeureuses" - aka "Dangerous Liaisons", "Les Rois Maudits"). In only a few years, JLA Groupe became the third largest French producer of primetime programming. He founded IDF1 in 2007 which became the number one ranked regional digital terrestrial television channel in France.
