Fatma Abdelaal

Fatma Abdelaal, PhD, currently serves as the Sustainability Lead for JLL's PDS in New Zealand and Australia, where responsibilities include the development and implementation of ESG and sustainability strategies. Fatma is also a guest lecturer and senior teaching assistant at the University of Canterbury, teaching courses related to building sustainability assessment and project management. As a researcher with The Association of Commonwealth Universities, Fatma collaborates with international experts on climate and environmental issues in preparation for COP26 and COP27. Previous roles include senior sustainability consultant at Mott MacDonald, focusing on sustainability strategies and life cycle assessments, and sustainability consultant at NZGBC, managing green building rating systems. Fatma holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Canterbury and is furthering education at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
