Colin Brown is chairman of the board for JM Family Enterprises, Inc., a privately held company with $18 billion in revenue and more than 4,700 associates. Rooted in automotive and united in its strong culture and core values, JM Family is in the business of helping other businesses succeed.
Brown joined the family-owned business in 1992 as vice president and general counsel. He was appointed chief operating officer in 1997 and president in 2000. Brown served as president and CEO from 2003 to 2018, the first non-family member to hold the titles of the first president and then CEO. In July 2018, Brown moved solely into the role of chairman of the board for JM Family.
Brown graduated from Duke University School of Law with a Juris doctorate and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College in Williamstown, Mass. He is on the Board of Advisors for Duke University School of Law and is a board member of the Williams College Alumni Fund.
