Pranob Gupta

Pranob Gupta has a substantial work experience spanning over multiple companies and roles. Pranob currently serves as the Managing Director at JM Financial Ltd since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked at IIFL Asset Management as a Senior Executive Vice President, where they focused on raising Commercial Yield Fund and Annuity Assets and deployed over 4500 crores across various deals. Before IIFL, Pranob Gupta held positions at KKR & Co. L.P., Kotak Special Opportunities Fund, Edelweiss Capital, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, Citibank NA, and ICICI Bank. Their roles in these organizations included Principal, Executive Director and Fund Manager, Senior Vice President and Fund Manager, Associate Director, Vice President, and Assistant Vice President, among others. Throughout their career, Pranob Gupta has demonstrated expertise in structured credit, private debt, special situations investing, and structured finance deals.

Pranob Gupta holds an MBA degree from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, which they obtained from 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, they earned a B. Tech (Hons) degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, between 1996 and 2000. Pranob completed their primary and secondary education at Don Bosco School in Park Circus, Kolkata, from 1984 to 1996. Furthermore, they have obtained multiple certifications in various fields, including alternative investments, cyber security, global diplomacy, intellectual property law and policy, risk measurement, and machine learning. These certifications were earned in different years from institutions such as Udemy, University of London, University of Pennsylvania, New York Institute of Finance, and edX.
