Jan Smidek

Jan Smidek is a Partner at JMA Ventures LLC since July 2009, responsible for overseeing the entire asset life cycle, including origination, fundraising, development, and asset management, with a focus on complex mixed-use and operating hospitality assets. Smidek is also a member of the JMA Investment Committee, actively participating in investment strategy decisions. Prior roles include Vice President of Acquisitions & Finance with expertise in hospitality, office, retail, residential, and development assets, and a Senior Analyst/Data Scientist at Analysis Group, Inc., where economic and financial consulting was provided through advanced data science methodologies. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Real Estate from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, and a BA in Economics and Political Science from Bates College.
