Assumpta Gasana, EIT has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.
Assumpta is currently employed as a Project Engineer at John Moriarty & Associates, starting in June 2021.
Prior to their current role, they co-founded Scie-Touche in 2018, a company aimed at improving science education and providing resources for students preparing for STEM exams in Rwanda.
From 2017 to 2021, Assumpta worked at Bucknell University in multiple roles. Assumpta was a Research Assistant in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department from September 2020 to May 2021. Assumpta also served as a STEM Intern at the Center for Career Advancement from August 2018 to May 2021. In this position, they designed student resources in STEM fields, facilitated alumni connections, and handled administrative responsibilities.
Assumpta was a Student Ambassador for the Admissions Office at Bucknell University from January 2017 to May 2021. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant in the Geotechnical and Civil Engineering Department from May 2017 to August 2018.
Assumpta also gained experience at John Moriarty & Associates as a Field Engineer Intern from December 2020 to February 2021, and as a Project Engineer Intern from June 2019 to August 2019.
Assumpta has held various internships, including a Design Engineer Intern position at Rwanda Housing Authority from June 2018 to July 2018.
In 2015, they interned at WorldWideWomen and volunteered at Global Youth Connect's Human Rights Program. Assumpta also founded "Read and Make Your Future Bright" and volunteered at the National Paralympics Committee (NPC) Rwanda.

Assumpta Gasana, EIT, pursued their education at Bucknell University from 2016 to 2021. During this period, they earned a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Civil Engineering and French & Francophone Studies.
In addition to their academic degrees, Assumpta also obtained two certifications. In June 2021, they completed the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) certification offered by the NCEES (National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying). Moreover, in April 2021, they successfully completed the Biomedical Responsible Conduct of Research Course 1, provided by the CITI Program, A Division of BRANY.
