Jason Romanos is the Senior Director of Finance at JMP. Jason has over 17 years of experience in finance and accounting. Jason has a proven track record of success in both public and private companies. Jason has a deep understanding of both the financial and operational aspects of businesses.
Jason started their career at Ernst & Young as an Assistant Director in their M&A group. Jason then moved to Caterpillar Inc. where they held various finance and commercial roles over a 14 year period. In their most recent role at Caterpillar, they were the Senior Finance and Commercial Director for their Construction Digital and Technology division. In this role, Jason was responsible for leading the finance and commercial functions for Caterpillar’s construction equipment businesses worldwide.
In March of 2020, Jason was promoted to Chief Financial Officer / Chief Technology Officer of Canam Steel Corporation (CSC). CSC was carved out of the Canam Group as a stand-alone company. Jason successfully led the finance and IT teams through the carve-out process without interruption to continuing operations. Under Jason’s leadership, CSC achieved record revenue and EBITDA in 2020, with net working capital reductions and record cash collections.
In their current role as Senior Director of Finance at JMP, Jason is responsible for leading the finance function and providing financial insights to support the company’s growth strategy.
Jason Romanos has a BA in Finance from Butler University - Lacy School of Business, and an Executive Program in Strategic Management from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Education. Jason also has a Certification from Caterpillar Inc. in Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) and a Certified Public Accountant from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
