Heather Smith Blanchette

Heather Smith Blanchette has a wealth of experience in the field of nonclinical development and DMPK-Bioanalytical. Heather Smith began their career in 1993 as a Graduate Student at the University of Oregon. Heather Smith then went on to become a Post-doc in Medicinal Chemistry at Organix Inc. in 1999. In 2000, they joined Shionogi BioResearch (Synta Pharmaceuticals) as a Scientist, DMPK/Bioanalytical. Heather Smith continued to work in the same field at Praecis Pharmaceuticals as a Sr. Scientist DMPK/Bioanalytical from 2002 to 2006. From 2006 to 2009, they were a Sr. Group Leader/Principle Scientist DMPK at Abbott Laboratories. From 2010 to 2015, they were the Director of DMPK-Bioanalytical at Cubist Pharmaceuticals. Finally, from 2015 to 2018, they were the Director, Nonclinical Development at Nimbus Therapeutics. Since 2018, they have been the VP Nonclinical Development and Executive Director, Preclinical Development at Jnana Therapeutics.

Heather Smith Blanchette obtained their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of New Hampshire between 1989 and 1993. Heather Smith then went on to pursue their Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Oregon, which they completed in 1999.
