Rebecca Shawgo

Rebecca Shawgo has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Rebecca is currently the Director of Alliance and Program Management at Jnana Therapeutics since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Syros Pharmaceuticals as the Director of Research Project Management from August 2022 to January 2023, and as the Associate Director of Project Management from February 2021 to August 2022. Before joining Syros Pharmaceuticals, they worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from February 2008 to July 2020, starting as a Research Scientist and later becoming a Senior Research Project Manager. Their earliest work experience was at Freedom-2, where they worked as a Scientist from October 2005 to March 2007.

Rebecca Shawgo obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Ceramic Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, where they studied from 1994 to 1999. Rebecca then pursued their education further and attained a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology, completing their studies between 1999 and 2004.
