Martin Smolka

Martin Smolka is a seasoned researcher and project coordinator at JOANNEUM RESEARCH Forschungsgesellschaft mbH since September 2016, specializing in Microfluidics, Lab-on-a-Chip, and Organ-on-a-Chip technology for various applications including point of care diagnostics and pharmaceutical drug screening. Previously, Martin served as a senior product engineer at Pessl Instruments GmbH, focusing on microfluidic plant nutrient sensors, and held postdoctoral researcher and dissertation roles at Vienna University of Technology and Infineon Technologies, respectively. Martin began a career in semiconductor technology as a working student at Osram Opto Semiconductors.
