Duane Morin

Duane Morin has extensive work experience in various engineering and leadership roles. Duane started their career as a Software Engineer at Hologic, where they worked on embedded systems for medical devices and later led the company's transition to the World Wide Web. Duane then moved on to IDD Information Systems, where they developed a secure client-certificate registration process for a major financial institution. At Scudder Kemper Investments, they served as VP Enterprise Architect, leading the development of an online relationship environment and enabling multiple business units within the company to deploy their own sites.

Duane then joined TripAdvisor as a Software Engineer, responsible for the development and maintenance of a personalized newsletter product. At ConnectEdu, they worked as a Principal Engineer, using .NET and web services to move digital resources between high schools and colleges. At eSupport.com, they served as a Principal Software Engineer, working on customer-facing features and backend enhancements using Ruby on Rails and PHP.

Duane later joined Avenue100 Media Solutions as a Principal Engineer, where they rebuilt the GetTheJob.com website in Ruby on Rails and significantly increased registrations and revenue. Duane then joined Kaplan Higher Education, Boston Innovation Group as the Director of Engineering, leading the technical development of LearningAdvisor.com and collaborating with AARP on integrating separate business units. Currently, they are working as the Principal Engineer at Jobcase, Inc.

In addition to their engineering roles, Duane Morin also founded ShakespeareGeek.com, a popular blog dedicated to all things Shakespeare, and has experience in web development and content creation for the site. Overall, they have a strong background in software engineering, web development, and technical leadership.

Duane Morin earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science and Sociology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, completing their studies between 1987 and 1991. In July 2021, they obtained a certification as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
