Denisha Surjoodeen

Denisha Surjoodeen has 16 years of work experience in the field of software quality assurance. Denisha is currently working as a Lead QA Engineer at JobGet since April 2022.

From 2018 to 2022, Denisha worked at Global Kinetic as the Head of Software Quality. In this role, they were responsible for technical responsibilities across a portfolio of digital banking products. Denisha mentored engineers in test automation design, architecture, and CI infrastructure. Denisha also developed custom automation frameworks for various platforms and contributed to the QA strategy in support of DevOps and Agile development principles.

Prior to that, Denisha worked at takealot.com as a QA Team Lead from 2014 to 2018. Denisha developed automation frameworks for the company website and mobile apps, led and mentored the QA team, and implemented various testing frameworks and tools.

Denisha also has experience as a Senior QA Engineer at Yola.com from 2010 to 2014 and as a QA Engineer at VERISIGN in 2009. Denisha worked as a Software Testing Consultant at SQS - SA from 2008 to 2009, where they specialized in performance testing and results analysis.

Before entering the software industry, Denisha worked as a Senior Technical Support Agent at bizworks from 2006 to 2008, providing second-line support to customers in the broadband sector.

Denisha Surjoodeen attended Ridge Park College in Overport, Durban from 1997 to 2001. Denisha then went on to the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, where they pursued a BCom degree in Information Systems from 2002 to 2009. In addition to their degree, Denisha also obtained certifications in Effective Communication and Human Relations from Dale Carnegie Training in 2011 and in Software Testing from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in 2008.
