Brian Garrett-Glaser has a diverse work experience, primarily focusing on writing and editorial roles. Brian is currently working as a Senior Writer at Joby Aviation since April 2021. Prior to that, they were the Managing Editor at eVTOL.com from October 2020 to March 2021, where they led the coverage of the emerging eVTOL and urban air mobility ecosystem. Brian also wrote in-depth features and broke stories.
Before joining eVTOL.com, Brian worked at Access Intelligence as an Assistant Editor for Avionics International from January 2019 to October 2020. In this role, they reported on eVTOL aircraft, urban air mobility, UAS integration, and electric/hydrogen aviation. Brian also designed and launched a newsletter called "The Skyport."
Brian has previous experience as a Legislative Intern for Congressman Anthony G. Brown, where they produced legislative memos and recommendations and assisted with legislative correspondence. Brian has also worked as a Content Manager at The Cipher Brief, where they produced newsletters, hosted a podcast, and published analysis and reporting on various topics, including China's military modernization program and the U.S.-ROK relationship.
Additionally, Brian has founded and contributed to The World in Context, a newsletter that aimed to present the news in an accessible way. Brian has worked briefly as a Public Affairs Specialist at Schatz Publishing Group and as an intern at the Council on Foreign Relations and the American Enterprise Institute. Overall, Brian has a strong background in writing, editing, and journalism, with a focus on aviation and international affairs.
Brian Garrett-Glaser completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University from 2011 to 2015.
