Carolyn Jones

Carolyn Jones has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Carolyn started their career as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Tennessee Valley Authority, where they assembled daily reports and performed maintenance on turbines and generators. Carolyn then joined Northwestern University as a Machine Shop Trainer and Assistant, providing hands-on training to students and assisting them with their projects.

Carolyn then worked at BTG Labs (formerly Brighton Technologies) as a Mechanical Engineer, where they studied instrument operations, tested hardware upgrades, and developed protocols and procedures. Carolyn also served as a Project Manager, composing grant applications and conducting user interviews to establish commercial requirements.

After that, Carolyn joined Venture for America as a 2014 Fellow, gaining exposure to various industries and startups. Carolyn then moved to Alta Motors, where they held multiple roles. As a Sales Operations Manager, they supported sales representatives and managed communication with engineering, logistics, and production teams. Carolyn also managed homologation and compliance filings and onboarded new sales representatives and dealerships. Prior to that, they served as a Mechanical Project Manager, responsible for project management tasks.

Currently, Carolyn works at Joby Aviation as an Integration and Testing Project Manager, utilizing their project management skills to oversee integration and testing projects.
