Battery Cell Test Engineer at Joby Aviation

Cheolwoong Lim has a diverse work experience in the field of battery technology and engineering. Cheolwoong is currently working as a Battery Cell Test Engineer at Joby Aviation since October 2022. Prior to that, they were a Sr. Battery Cell Engineer at Proterra Inc from July 2021 to October 2022.

From December 2018 to July 2021, Lim served as the VP of Engineering at Millibatt, where they gained expertise in the field of battery manufacturing. Cheolwoong also worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Millibatt from October 2017 to December 2018.

Cheolwoong Lim earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Yonsei University, which they attended from 1998 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Mechanical Engineering at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis from 2010 to 2012. Finally, they completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016.
