Cooper W. Harris

Cooper W. Harris is a Senior Data Scientist at Joby Aviation since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Scientist at Joby Aviation starting in April 2020. Before joining Joby Aviation, Cooper was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Université de Strasbourg from June 2019 to April 2020. Cooper W. developed an open-source software package in Python and C for parameterizing, solving, appraising resolution, and visualizing linear inverse problems, with a focus on geophysical imaging studies. Cooper also has experience as a Doctoral Student at the University of Southern California from an unknown start date to May 2019. Cooper W.'sresearch focused on using seismic time-series data to image the Earth's interior and provide insights into tectonic collisions, seismic hazard, geophysical modeling, and plate reconstruction efforts.

Cooper W. Harris attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2008 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Southern California from 2013 to 2019. During their time at USC, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from 2017 to 2019 and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Geophysics and Seismology from 2013 to 2019.
