David Xiong has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. David is currently working at Joby Aviation as a Structures Design Engineer, focusing on airframe design. Prior to this, they were employed at Delta Air Lines as an Engineer (Co-Op) in the Liaison Engineering department. In this role, they provided structures and systems engineering support to the airline's global operations, ensuring efficient maintenance and on-time performance. David also worked as a Teaching Assistant at Purdue University, where they taught Introduction to Aircraft Systems and Introduction to Composite Technology. In these roles, they introduced design principles, manufacturing processes, and testing procedures related to aircraft systems and composite materials.

David Xiong has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering Technology from Purdue University.
