Software Engineer - Test Automation at Joby Aviation

John Brandon Iams has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. John Brandon started their career as an Electronics Technician in the U.S. Coast Guard, where they gained experience in designing, integrating, and testing large-scale steering control systems. John Brandon also managed a team of technicians and a multi-million dollar budget.

After their time in the Coast Guard, John worked as an Electrical Engineer intern at Systima Technologies, where they developed and automated test plans, designed circuits, and sourced PCB manufacturing for rapid prototyping.

John Brandon then joined the Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion (SARP) as an Avionics Design engineer before transitioning to Boeing as a Software Engineer II.

Currently, John is working at Joby Aviation as a Software Engineer - Test Automation.

John Brandon Iams began their education in 2016 at Green River College, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. John Brandon then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Embedded Systems at the University of Washington College of Engineering from 2018 to 2020.
