Michael Cunningham

Michael Cunningham has a diverse work experience in engineering and research roles. Michael is currently working at Joby Aviation as a System Identification Engineer since August 2022. Previously, they served as a Research Scientist at Intelligent Automation, a BlueHalo Company, from November 2020 to July 2022. Michael started their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at the National Institute of Aerospace, affiliated with the University of Maryland, from June 2013 to January 2020.

Michael Cunningham earned a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Maryland in 2013. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the same institution, which they completed in 2016. Michael furthered their education at the University of Maryland, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering in 2020.
