Parth Kumar has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Parth started their career as a Summer Intern at NASA Ames Research Center in 2008 and 2009. Parth then worked as a Research Assistant at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University in 2010. Parth went on to work as a Graduate Research Assistant and Adjunct Lecturer at Wichita State University from 2012 to 2015. In 2014, they worked as a Systems Engineer at Robot Zone, LLC. Parth then transitioned into industry roles, working as a Manufacturing Engineer at AGCO Corporation from 2015 to 2016 and as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Castle Creations Inc. from 2016 to 2017. Parth then joined Martin UAV as a Flight Test Engineer from 2017 to 2019. Currently, Parth works at Joby Aviation, where they started as a Flight Test Engineer in 2019, then progressed to the role of Flight Controls Engineer in 2022, and finally became a Senior Flight Controls Engineer in 2023.

Parth Kumar obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from NYU Tandon School of Engineering, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. Later, from 2012 to 2014, they pursued a Master's Degree in Industrial/Systems Engineering at Wichita State University. Parth Kumar also attended the United States Naval Test Pilot School for a Short Course on Introduction to Fixed Wing Flying Qualities. The specific duration of this short course is unknown.
