Sami Suteria

Sami Suteria has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. They began their career as an IT Intern at USAA in 2011, where they focused on product delivery and UI/UX. In 2012, they worked as a Web Programmer at TTUISD. Later that year, they founded Limerick Design and served as the lead engineer, creating various backend, web, and mobile applications for clients.

In 2014, Sami joined Standards Design Group as a Software Developer, where they migrated a Windows .net application to iOS. They then moved on to Imgur in 2015, working as an iOS Developer and contributing to the launch of the Imgur iOS App.

In 2016, Sami worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Level Money, which was later acquired by Capital One. They were primarily involved in developing the Level Money app, utilizing Swift, Core Data, and interacting with a JSON API.

During the same year, Sami also served as the Head of Software Engineering at depict Inc., where they managed multiple projects supporting an IoT ecosystem.

In 2017, Sami founded Elop AI, focusing on automated native mobile app development and designing a no-code drag and drop tool.

From 2019 to 2021, Sami worked at Uber as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to the Uber Elevate project and developing features for Uber Copter.

Currently, Sami is employed as a Staff Software Engineer at Joby Aviation, working on electric aerial ridesharing and undisclosed projects.

Sami Suteria completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from Texas Tech University, starting in 2010 and finishing in 2014. Sami then pursued further education at The University of Texas at Austin, obtaining a Master of Science in Technology Commercialization from 2017 to 2018, with a focus on Business.
