Yogesh Patel

Yogesh Patel has a diverse work experience in the field of embedded engineering and software development.

Yogesh is currently working as an Embedded Engineer at Joby Aviation since October 2021.

Prior to that, they worked at Wisk as a Senior Software Engineer from July 2019 to October 2021.

Before Wisk, Yogesh was employed at ARRIS as a Staff Software Engineer from April 2019 to July 2019 and as a Sr. Software Engineer from March 2015 to April 2019. During their time at ARRIS, they led projects developing firmware and drivers for various modules in a Linux operating system for microcontrollers. Yogesh worked on RDKB and Yocto based design architecture and implemented firmware in user mode and kernel mode.

Yogesh also worked as an Embedded Software Engineer II at Conexant from May 2014 to September 2014. Yogesh was responsible for firmware development for a printer SoC based on Cortex A8 architecture.

In addition, they had an Engineering Internship at Emulex from June 2013 to August 2013, where they updated and modified Python scripts for test result analysis and maintained servers.

Previously, Yogesh worked as a Senior Software Engineer at iGATE from June 2010 to August 2012. Yogesh developed iPad applications and provided embedded and hosted printing solutions.

Their earliest role was as an Embedded Electronic Engineer at senergy intellution pvt ltd from January 2010 to June 2010. There, they led the development of firmware for detecting radiation levels and implemented driver development for sensors.

Throughout their career, Yogesh has demonstrated expertise in firmware development, software engineering, and project leadership.

Yogesh Patel completed their Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from the University of Mumbai from 2005 to 2009. Afterward, they pursued a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2014. In 2009, Yogesh also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Embedded Systems from the Electronic Corporation of India Ltd.
