Maricarmen Lopez

Maricarmen Lopez currently serves as an Attending Physician at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital since September 2023. Prior to this role, Maricarmen held the position of Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Albany Medical Center from January 2018 to September 2023. Maricarmen's extensive experience in pediatrics includes serving as an MD in private practice from 2002 to January 2018, as well as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at both Ponce School of Medicine from February 2016 to December 2017 and Recinto de Ciencias Medicas UPR from 2004 to 2011. Additionally, Maricarmen was a Pediatric Rheumatologist at All Children's Hospital from 2002 to 2003. Maricarmen earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Universidad Central del Caribe School of Medicine in 1996 and completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Rheumatology at Duke University between 1999 and 2002.
