Pierre Broze

VP Product Quality at John Cockerill

Pierre Broze has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Pierre started their career as a Design Engineer at John Cockerill in 2007, where they were responsible for the preliminary design of boilers. Pierre then moved on to the role of Technical & Development Engineer, focusing on the development and standardization of thermal calculations. Pierre also underwent a 2-year training program to become an international welding engineer during this role. Later, they served as a Quality Project Engineer and then as a Manufacturing Supervision Manager, both at John Cockerill, where they worked on various quality aspects of projects and specialized in manufacturing processes, NDE, and welding. From 2019 to 2022, they held the position of Head of Project Quality at John Cockerill Energy, overseeing the quality team and working on different product types such as HRSG, Molten Salt Solar Receiver, Hydrogen stations, and Energy Storage. Before joining John Cockerill, Pierre worked as a Boursier de doctorat at ULg - Department d'hydraulique appliquée, where they focused on mapping flood-prone areas in Wallonia and assisted with student rehearsals.

Pierre Broze obtained a degree in Électromécanique, thermodynamique et énergie from the University of Liège from 1999 to 2004. Pierre then went on to earn a Master's degree in science and environmental management from the same university in 2004-2005. In 2011-2012, Pierre attended the International Institute of Welding (IIW) and acquired an International Welding Engineer (IWE) degree in Welding Engineering Technology/Technician.
