Susan Zimmerman

Susan Zimmerman currently serves as the Global Public Policy Manager at John Deere, a position held since March 2021. Previously, Susan worked at UPS, where roles included International Public Affairs Director and International Public Affairs Manager from May 2015 to March 2021, as well as Legislative Assistant for a brief period in 2014. Susan's experience also encompasses a role at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce focusing on Middle East commerce and initiatives, and an internship with the National Democratic Institute providing support for democracy programming in North Africa. Additional early career experience includes positions at the Council on American-Islamic Relations, where Susan contributed to the establishment of an Islamophobia department, and an internship at the American Center for Oriental Research. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Near Eastern Languages and Cultures from Indiana University Bloomington. Furthermore, Susan enhanced language skills through the Department of State's Critical Language Scholarship in Morocco and studies in Jordan.
