Darryl Playford

Darryl Playford is an experienced professional in field experimentation and trials management. Currently serving as the Field Experimentation Manager at the John Innes Centre since July 2019, Darryl delivers innovative field experiments across various crop species for researchers and partners. Prior to this role, Darryl spent over three decades at Limagrain UK Ltd, where as Trials Co-ordinator, responsibility included managing a team to provide trial sites for winter wheat, winter barley, and winter oilseed rape, as well as executing two marker-assisted back crossing programmes annually.
