Research Assistant At The Germplasm Resource Unit at John Innes Centre

Eleni Vikeli, PhD has a diverse range of work experience in the field of research and science communication. Eleni currently works as a Research Assistant at the Germplasm Resource Unit at the John Innes Centre since May 2020. Before that, they served as an Overseas Team Leader at Edinburgh Science, where they managed and coordinated specific events, trained and mentored Science Communicators.

From October 2014 to December 2019, Eleni worked as a Research Assistant and also completed their PhD at the John Innes Centre. During this time, they gained valuable experience in research and academia.

In 2017, Eleni worked as a Science Communications Assistant at BecA - ILRI Hub: Biosciences eastern and central Africa -International Livestock Research Institute. Prior to that, they pursued an MSc in Bioactive compounds and Protein Technology at the Agricultural University of Athens from November 2013 to October 2014. Eleni also worked as a Visiting Worker at the John Innes Centre for a brief period from May 2013 to September 2013.

Eleni Vikeli, PhD, completed their Master in Science degree in Bioactive Compounds & Protein Technology from the Agricultural University of Athens in 2013-2014. Prior to that, they attended the Ralleio Lyceum of Piraeus from 2004 to 2007, although the specific degree and field of study are not mentioned. In addition to their education, Eleni obtained intermediate fluency in Spanish through certifications from Duolingo in April 2016 and February 2016.
