Evangelos Tatsis

Evangelos Tatsis has a diverse work experience in the field of plant and microbial sciences. Evangelos currently holds the position of Group Leader at the CAS-JIC Centre of Excellence for Plant and Microbial Sciences since September 2017. Prior to this, they were a Principal Investigator at the Shanghai Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, starting from September 2017.

Before their roles in China, Evangelos worked as a Senior Post Doctoral Research Associate at the John Innes Centre, starting in October 2013. Evangelos also served as a PostDoctoral Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology from April 2008 to September 2013.

Early in their career, Evangelos gained experience in the food industry as a Food Safety Management Systems Consultant at Q & D SA. During this time, they were responsible for designing and implementing food safety management systems, as well as preparing documentation, conducting trainings, and providing support for certification processes. Evangelos also prepared proposals for funding programs related to certification and modernization of organizations.

Evangelos Tatsis completed their education in the field of Chemistry. Evangelos obtained a Diploma from the University of Ioannina between 1996 and 2001, followed by a Doctorate degree from the same university between 2002 and 2005.
