Evangelos Tatsis has a diverse work experience in the field of plant and microbial sciences. Evangelos currently holds the position of Group Leader at the CAS-JIC Centre of Excellence for Plant and Microbial Sciences since September 2017. Prior to this, they were a Principal Investigator at the Shanghai Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, starting from September 2017.

Evangelos Tatsis completed their education in the field of Chemistry. Evangelos obtained a Diploma from the University of Ioannina between 1996 and 2001, followed by a Doctorate degree from the same university between 2002 and 2005.
