Hicret Aslı YALÇIN has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of research. They started their career as an intern at ODTU in 2012 and later interned at John Innes Centre in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Research Assistant at Karamanoglu Mehmetbey University. They then joined İzmir Institute of Technology as an intern from 2011 to 2014.

In 2016, Hicret Aslı YALÇIN became a Doctoral Student at John Innes Centre, where they also served as a Postdoctoral Researcher from 2020 to 2021 and a Visiting Scientist from 2021 onwards.

Currently, they are employed as a Senior Researcher at TUBITAK MARMARA ARASTIRMA MERKEZI, where they previously worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher.
