Matthew Bush

Research Assistant - Schlimpert Lab at John Innes Centre

Matthew Bush's work experience begins in 2005, when they worked as an Industrial Student at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. In 2006, they completed an undergraduate research project at the University of York. Matthew then joined the John Innes Centre in 2007 as a PhD student, conducting research under the supervision of Prof. Ray Dixon. Matthew'sPhD focused on interdomain repression in the Enhancer Binding Protein, NorR, and its role in gene expression in E. coli. Following the completion of their PhD in 2011, Matthew became a Post-Doctoral Training Fellow at the John Innes Centre until 2015. During this time, they also served as a Research Assistant in the Schlimpert Lab.

Matthew Bush attended the University of York from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry with a Year in industry. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Microbiology, General from the University of East Anglia. Aside from their formal education, Matthew also holds a certification as a Verified Peer Reviewer from Publons. However, the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
