Philippa Borrill

Philippa Borrill is a distinguished researcher specializing in plant biology, currently serving as a Group Leader at the John Innes Centre since September 2021. With previous experience as a Lecturer in Plant Biology at the University of Birmingham and as a BBSRC Anniversary Future Leader Fellow at the John Innes Centre, Philippa has extensively studied the molecular control of wheat grain nutrient content, aiming to enhance its nutritional value for human health. Philippa's academic journey includes a PhD in Plant Molecular Biology from the University of East Anglia and a BA (Hons) in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. Research endeavors have encompassed various roles, including postdoctoral and undergraduate research positions, contributing to significant findings in wheat genetics and plant physiology.
