Roy Dunford

Laboratory Manager at John Innes Centre

Roy Dunford has a strong background in research, particularly in the field of life sciences. Roy joined Carlsberg Laboratory in 1989 as a post-doctoral researcher and later moved on to John Innes Centre in 1991, where they worked as a post-doctoral researcher and assistant until 1996. In the same year, they became the Laboratory Manager at the John Innes Centre, where they continue to contribute their expertise.

Roy Dunford completed their education in a chronological manner. From 1975 to 1980, they attended Stewards Comprehensive School in Harlow, UK, but did not obtain a degree or specify a field of study. In 1982, they enrolled at the University of East Anglia, where they earned a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Biological Sciences in 1985. Roy continued their education at the University of Leicester from 1985 to 1989, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Plant Molecular Biology.
