Claire Nelson

Claire Nelson is a Product Engineer at John Lewis Partnership since July 2007, where responsibilities include managing licensing and upgrade work for departmental tools, along with implementing and administering the Atlassian toolset, GitLab, and Slack. Previously, Claire served as a Systems Developer ITL5, leading projects that translated business requirements into technical specifications for both mainframe and Java applications, while guiding development teams and overseeing code approval and testing. Prior experience includes a role as Principal Programmer at Waitrose from September 1996 to July 2007, focusing on mainframe warehouse systems development and support. Claire holds a BSc Honours in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Exeter and completed educational training at Makers in early 2022.
