April Jastrzab, LCSW has extensive experience in the field of behavioral health and social services. April managed a staff of 24 full-time and per-diem employees and ensured the delivery of quality mental health services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness, emphasizing recovery and wellness principles. April Jastrzab joined JPS Health Network in 2015 as the Manager of Psych Social Services. April held this position until 2018 when they were promoted to the role of Director of Behavioral Health Social Services, where they continue to contribute their expertise in managing and leading a team to provide comprehensive mental health services.
April Jastrzab, LCSW completed their education with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from New York University in 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a focus on Clinical/Counseling, from The College of New Jersey between 2003 and 2007. April has also acquired additional certifications as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from the Georgia Composite Board of Professional Counselors, Social Workers, & Marriage and Family Therapists in 2015, and from the New Jersey Board of Social Work Examiners in 2014. April also holds the title of LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) from the Texas Board of Social Work Exam, although the year of obtaining this certification is unknown. April's education also includes studying at Victoria University, although the details of their degree or field of study there are unknown.

The Tarrant County Hospital District, known as JPS Health Network, is a tax-supported organization serving the healthcare needs of families in Tarrant County. A Level I Trauma Center, JPS provides adult inpatient care at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, and offers comprehensive services including primary care, behavioral health, and pharmacy at more than 25 community locations. JPS is governed by an 11-member Board of Managers, whose members are appointed by the Tarrant County Commissioners Court. JPS was named the Best Hospital for America by Washington Monthly magazine and the Lown Institute in 2020, and Outstanding Healthcare System by D CEO Magazine.
