Alina Dia Trambitas-Miron

Alina Dia Trambitas-Miron, PhD, has a diverse work experience in various positions and roles. Alina Dia began their career as a PHD candidate at LIG from October 2006 to December 2009. Following that, they worked as an Associate Lecturer at Petru Maior University Tirgu Mures from February 2012 to May 2013 and at Babes-Bolyai University from October 2010 to July 2013. Alina Dia also served as an IT & Health - Associate Lecturer at the Center for Health Policy and Public Health Cluj-Napoca from October 2013 to November 2015.

In 2010, Alina became the Main Organizer of the Cluj Semantic Web Meetup until December 2015, where they grew the community to over 150 members. From 2010 to 2018, they worked at Recognos Romania as a Semantic Web Researcher and Scrum Master, responsible for guiding the transition of the RDC Web development team from Waterfall to Agile methodologies. Alina Dia also conducted research on knowledge extraction techniques from unstructured and semi-structured documents using NLP techniques and data integration.

In 2012, Alina began their role as an Expert Evaluator for the European Commission, participating in the evaluation of proposals for several FP7 and H2020 calls in domains such as Linked Data, Big Data, Semantic Web, NLP, and Data analytics.

Since 2018, Alina has been employed as a Lecturer at the University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology "G.E. Palade" of Târgu Mureș. Alina Dia initially served as an Assistant Lecturer until September 2020 and then transitioned to their current role as the Head of Product at John Snow Labs in July 2020. Prior to that, they held positions at John Snow Labs, including Solutions Lead from March 2020 to July 2020 and Data Marketplace Product Manager from January 2018 to February 2020.

Alina's work experience encompasses roles in academia, research, project management, product development, and evaluation, with a focus on semantic web, NLP, data analytics, and health informatics.

Alina Dia Trambitas-Miron, PhD completed their education in Computer Science. Alina Dia obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble I) in 2006. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from the same university and completed it in 2009.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Alina Dia Trambitas-Miron has also obtained various certifications. In June 2020, they received a certification in "Product Management 101" from Udemy. In May 2017, they obtained the certifications for "Intermediate Python for Data Science" and "Python Data Science Toolbox (Part 1) Course" from DataCamp. Furthermore, in January 2017, Alina received a verified certificate for "Creating Programmatic SQL Database Objects" from edX.
