Harpal (Paul) Khanuja, MD, FAAOS, is a prominent orthopaedic surgeon with extensive experience in the field of hip and knee replacement surgery. Currently serving as the Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center since 2014 and as Chief of Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery at Johns Hopkins Medicine since 2015, Khanuja leads clinical, research, and system innovation initiatives. Additionally, Khanuja holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and co-founded Operation Walk Maryland, serving as its Medical Director, where responsibilities include coordinating medical care and fundraising. Previous roles include Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at LifeBridge Health and Director of Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery at The Rubin Institute, Sinai Hospital. Khanuja earned an MD from Albany Medical College and a BA in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently pursuing an MBA at The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School.
