Mathias Unberath

Mathias Unberath is a John C. Malone Associate Professor at The Johns Hopkins University, having progressed through roles including Assistant Professor, Research Assistant Professor, and Postdoctoral Fellow since June 2017. Unberath previously served as the Professional Student Events and Sports Officer for the MICCAI Student Board from January 2015 to January 2018. A Visiting Research Scholar at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering in early 2017, Unberath focused on signal processing for catheter navigation. Prior experience includes an internship at Stanford University, software development at Siemens Healthcare, and work at Quality Assurance in Radiology and Medicine GmbH. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Informatik from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and advanced degrees in Optical Technologies and Physics from the same institution.
