Robert A. Mclean

Vice President for Facilities and Real Estate at Johns Hopkins University

Robert McLean is an experienced facilities leader currently serving as Vice President at The Johns Hopkins University since August 2015, overseeing a staff of 325 and managing significant budgets exceeding $74 million annually in operations and $500 million in capital. Prior to this role, McLean commanded the Naval Facilities Engineering Command for Europe Africa Southwest Asia from July 2013 to July 2015, directing substantial public works and capital projects across multiple military installations in over 30 countries. McLean's extensive military career spanned three decades in the US Navy, with various leadership positions, including Captain in the Civil Engineer Corps and Commander of NAVFAC Europe Africa Southwest Asia. Education credentials include an Executive Education certificate from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from The Catholic University of America, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
