Zongwei Zhou

Assistant Research Scientist at Johns Hopkins University

Zongwei Zhou is currently an Assistant Research Scientist and previously held the role of Postdoctoral Researcher at The Johns Hopkins University since May 2021. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Affiliate at Mayo Clinic from June 2017 to May 2021, where Zongwei focused on topics such as active learning in colonoscopy frame classification, polyp detection, pulmonary embolism detection, and carotid intima-media thickness measurement under the guidance of Dr. Jianming Liang. Zongwei also completed an internship in the Radiology Informatics Lab with Dr. Bradley Erickson, working on thyroid ultrasound imaging and tumor radiogenomics. Additionally, a research position was held at CHUM - Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal from January 2018 to July 2018, focusing on predictive models for colorectal cancer liver metastases response to chemotherapy in collaboration with Mila – Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute. Zongwei holds a PhD in Biomedical Informatics from Arizona State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Dalian University of Technology, supplemented by a summer course in macroeconomics at the University of California, Berkeley.
