Johnson County Library
Ken Werne has extensive experience in library management, having served as Corinth and Cedar Roe Manager at Johnson County Library since 1999, where responsibilities included overseeing a newly combined branch with 30 staff members and managing cultural integration within JCL's strategic framework. Previously, Ken held various managerial roles, including Antioch Branch Manager and Community Libraries Manager, where successful projects such as the creation of an early literacy center and management of multiple small community libraries were achieved. With a career spanning several libraries, including Anaheim Public Library and the Pikes Peak Library District, Ken culminated professional endeavors with retirement in November 2021 and has since enjoyed this new phase. Ken holds a Master of Library Science from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Purdue University.
