Timothy Johnson

Timothy Johnson is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in materials science and engineering, currently serving as Senior Manager in Digital and Research Computing at Johnson Matthey since June 2016. Throughout the career, Timothy has held roles including Research Computing Lead Engineer and Senior Scientist and Team Lead in battery material recycling, focusing on scaling laboratory processes. Additional expertise includes leading the production of medical inks and developing novel controlled release applications across various industries. Timothy's background also encompasses leading research on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for environmental applications. Previously, Timothy completed an Industry Funded PhD at the University of Liverpool, where research concentrated on semiconductor metal oxides and wastewater remediation. Academic credentials include a PhD in Material Science from the University of Liverpool and an MChem in Chemistry with Nanotechnology from the University of Hull.
