Product Operations Associate at Propel

Barbara Liu has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Barbara began their career as an Elementary Program Teacher at Asian American LEAD in 2014. Barbara then worked as a Marketing & Public Relations Intern at RIJI Green from 2013 to 2016. Barbara joined the International Monetary Fund in 2014 as a Staff Assistant, where they remained until 2017. Barbara later worked as a Research Assistant at the United Nations from 2017 to 2018. In 2019, Barbara served as a Project Manager at UNSPOKEN SMILES and as a Graduate Policy Intern at the Office of the New York City Public Advocate. That same year, they also worked as a Graduate Consultant at the Self Employed Women's Association (SEWA). In 2020, Barbara became a Sustainability Management Curriculum and Grading Assistant at Columbia | SIPA. Barbara then transitioned to Paxful in 2021, taking on the roles of Product Growth Associate and later Product Strategy and Operations Associate. Currently, Barbara is working at Propel, Inc as a Product Operations Associate starting in 2023.

Barbara Liu attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2009 to 2010. During this time, they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study.

From 2010 to 2013, Barbara studied at the University of Michigan, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Barbara'smajor was in International Studies, with additional focus areas in Asian Studies and French.

In 2011, Barbara participated in a study abroad program at East China Normal University, facilitated by the CIEE Council on International Educational Exchange. The program focused on Chinese Language and Business in China.

Most recently, from 2018 to 2020, Barbara attended Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree. Barbara'sstudies at SIPA encompassed various fields, including Economic and Political Development, Data Analytics and Quantitative Analysis, and Management.
