Mohammad Owlia has a long and diverse work experience. In 2012, they were a Teacher Assistant at the University of Tehran. In 2013, they were a Software Engineer at Sina Robotics and Medical Innovators Co. Ltd., where they worked on real-time tracking of color markers using Kinect and developing a VR environment for surgery simulation. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Research Student/Associate at the University Health Network, where they programmed microcontrollers and did signal processing. In 2017, they were a Teacher Assistant at the University of Toronto. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Technical Cofounder at My Lil' HealthBot, where they built a robotic retail platform. Currently, they are an Engineering Manager at Sherpa.
Mohammad Owlia holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering from the University of Tehran and a Master of Applied Science in Engineering from the University of Toronto.
