Chris Petzold is a highly experienced professional in the field of bioanalytical mass spectrometry with a robust academic and research background. Currently serving as a Staff Scientist at Berkeley Lab since February 2008, Chris has also held the position of Deputy Vice President of Technology at the Joint BioEnergy Institute since March 2015 and has been the Director of Proteomics under the Department of Energy since 2010. Prior roles include Research Scientist Engineer at the University of California, Berkeley, and Post-Doctoral Researcher at both UC Davis and UC Berkeley. Chris earned a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Purdue University and holds both a BS in Chemistry and a BA in Physics from Taylor University.
