Saad Naseem, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Fellow at Berkeley Lab and the Joint BioEnergy Institute since January 2022, working under the guidance of Steven W. Singer and focusing on the characterization of sugar catabolism in Pseudomonas putida. Previously, Saad Naseem was a Doctoral Student at Texas A&M University from August 2016 to December 2021, conducting research in mechanistic enzymology in Tadhg Begley's lab, with projects involving enzyme characterization and biosynthesis pathways. Technical expertise includes organic synthesis, recombinant protein expression, enzyme kinetics, and several advanced instrumental methods such as HPLC and NMR.
