Sheila O'Leary

Sheila O'Leary has extensive work experience in the healthcare and human resources fields. Sheila started their career at Nottingham Community Health in 1991 as a Human Resource Planning & Information Manager. Sheila then worked at Microprint as a Human Resources professional from 1995 to 1998. In 1998, they joined Bon Secours Health System Ireland as a Senior Management Human Resources and stayed until 2003. From 2003 to 2019, they worked at Bon Secours Hospital Dublin as a Senior Management Quality & Patient Safety. In 2006, they joined Joint Commission International (JCI) as an International Healthcare Consultant. Currently, they are working at St. Francis Hospice Dublin as a Quality, Risk & Patient Safety professional, starting in May 2021.

Sheila O'Leary's education history includes several qualifications and certifications. In 1987, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from University College Dublin. Sheila then pursued a Higher Diploma in Education at the same university in 1988. In 1994, they completed a University Diploma in Personnel Management at De Montfort University.

Moving forward, Sheila attended INSEAD in 2002 for The European Health Leadership Programme. In 2003, they became a Tai Chi Chuan Instructor after completing a program at Master Ding Academy. Sheila further expanded their knowledge by earning a University Diploma in Quality Management - Lean Health Systems from the University of Limerick in 2009.

Continuing their educational journey, Sheila participated in a Leadership Programme at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) until 2017. In addition to their academic background, they hold certifications as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development from the CHARTERED INSTITUTE OF PERSONNEL AND DEVELOPMENT, as well as a Tai Chi Chuan Instructor certificate from Master Ding Academy.
